The end

On Thursday🗓️ afternoon last week, I was given Eggward 🥚as a project to complete for what was meant until Tuesday🗓️ as part of my attachment module in Psychology. 🧠I tell you what, I was really looking forward to “adopting” and “looking after” an egg🥚 as daft as that sounded. 😂I was genuinely really looking forward to it. As the first few days🗓️ went by, it did start to get a bit draining🥱 looking after an egg🥚 (you don’t understand the struggle of keeping it away and alive from my siblings 👧👦👱who would’ve broke it!) 💥And having to have it by my side 24/7🕓 was just so much more. Anyway, after an incredible week🗓️ spent with Eggward🥚 I’ve realised how hard and tiring 😴it is for care givers and parents 👨‍👩‍👦looking after their children. I honestly thought it was so much easier, and that was me just looking after an egg! 🥚But after reflecting 👀on the last week,🗓️ I want to take the time now to all parents and carers looking after children and young ones because it must be a lot of hard work. 🥱 However, it was finally time for mine and Eggwards🥚 time to come to an end.🛑 Because I had “adopted” an egg to look after and treat as my own child🤱 it was time for Eggward🥚 to meet his “biological” 🔬family. Honestly, I’ve learned quite a bit from this project and It’s safe to say that I’m definitely going to miss Eggward to. Thank you Eggward for an amazing week! 🥚💝

Eggward’s last night

After an incredible 4 days, 🗓️ we’re coming to the end of our time together. 🫂I adopted Eggward 🥚4 days ago, knowing what a challenge😓 and tiring🥱 it would be to not only look after him,👀 but to entertain🎭 him too. Tonight🌃 is his final night left with us before he meets his biological family tomorrow and gets ready to say goodbye to us for the last time. These following blogs✍️ will be highlights of my final evening with Eggward. 🥚💝

Story time!

Me and Eggward 🥚have both gotten up in pretty good moods.😁 For some of the morning 🌅you’ll find me reading📖 Eggward a story. The book is called “Harry and the bucketful of dinosaurs”🦖 by Ian Whybrow and Adrian Reynolds. It’s an amazing book 📖and a great way for children👧👦 (including Eggward🥚) to explore and have fun with. Plus it’s very educational.🎓

Egg-cellent friends

This afternoon I decided to introduce little Eggward to Shelly 🥚(virtually! Don’t worry!) It turns out that Eggward🥚 was a real big fan of Shelly and I’m happy to say they got off Egg-cellently! 💝It was good for Eggward to meet🫂 someone like her though, not only to have a play🛴 mate virtually,💻 but also someone that he can start to socialise 💬with and therefore increase his development too. Overall everyone’s happy. 🙂

A little nap

Today for us has been quite busy. Whilst Eggward was catching up on his sleep, I decided to clean my room whilst I had the chance. It came to lunchtime which Eggward thoroughly enjoyed. He had some lettuce and some ham (high in protein and healthy for him). Then This afternoon I had to catch up on some work and finish this off (during this time Eggward was asleep in his little egg cup catching Z’s.) He woke again and so we did some arts and crafts together in the dining room. He really enjoyed this and it was good for him to develop some fine motor skills too. After quite a tiring day, he is now having another nap which gives me time to eat my tea. Then after his nap, I will read him a bedtime story, sort him out ready for bed, give him some food and then put him to bed for the night.
